MY INFLUENCES
Hoyte Von Hoytema’s work is a masterclass in making film that feel larger than life.
Sir Roger Deakin’s consistency in his work, and undeniable style is something I want to model myself after. I always feel like you can just tell a movie was shot by him.
Larkin Seiple is in my opinion one of the best modern cinematographers. His work on Weapons and Everything Everywhere All At Once is incredible. I love his use of maximizing modern tools while still respecting the craft.
Linus Sandgren’s shoots most of his work on traditional filmstock. I think he is one of the few that still are masters of this format, and his work on La La Land, Wuthering Heights, and Saltburn are to be studied.
